Public diary of a professional overtexter.
Hi, I'm Marta. I went to film school, I write comedy, I travel a lot, and I have a habit of turning the people and things around me into whatever I'm making next.
I Tell My Friends Everything is where most of that ends up.
I write about travel, hospitality, friendships, awkward situations, and the kind of conversations that usually happen at 2am after someone says, “Wait, I need to tell you what happened.” The posts come with screenshots from my actual conversations, strategically placed like commercial breaks in a sitcom.
I also write short scripts and scenes based on three random words my friends give me, usually in under five minutes and without letting myself stop typing. Sometimes they're stupid. Sometimes they're funny. Occasionally, one accidentally becomes an idea for an entire movie.
And because apparently writing things about my friends isn't enough, I also put their faces on wine bottles. What started as a questionable COVID birthday gift has somehow turned into years of custom bottle designs for nearly everyone I know.
So, I guess that's the common theme here: I like making things, and the people around me tend to end up in them.
